Spiritual-Maturity-or-Infancy

The Suggested Chapter Teaching And Household Topics for July 2016 are Now Available

We started our spiritual lives as infants. But God did not desire for us to remain that way. God’s plan is birth, growth, and maturity.

A human baby may do immature things and be cute, but it would not be so for an adult. Let us examine ourselves, in our spirituality, are we an infant or an adult?

When we were young in our spiritual life, people will tend to give us more understanding as we are still growing in the faith. However, when we have spent significant time in community, much is expected of us in terms of our spiritual maturity.

Having a Heart Like Jesus

The Suggested Chapter Teaching And Household Topics for June 2016 are Now Available

When you look at yourself in the water, you will see your own image. It is an actual representation of who you are. It shows and reflect your true image.

And just like the water which reflects our image, our words and actions also reflect the inner disposition of our heart. We reflect our own heart by our actions and the things that we care for. Whatever comes out of a person defines who they are.

As Christians, we should strive for our hearts to reflect Jesus and have a heart like Jesus. As it is said, in the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. If we have Jesus in our hearts, it will come out in our words and actions. But there are times that our hearts are sometimes blocked by so many things like worries, anxieties, fear that causes us to be afraid to have a heart like Jesus

The Lord has set the greatest life of adventure for us. He has planned for us something that is greater what you can ever imagine. The Lord reminds us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that, “…What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard and what has not entered the human heart is what God has prepared for those who love him.” And the Lord sends endless opportunities that lead us to these greatest life adventures.

Living as an Easter People

The Suggested Chapter Teaching And Household Topics for April 2016 are Now Available

Written by Jepoy Meneses on . Posted in News

We always hear the statement that “Christians are Easter people.” And indeed, we truly are. We follow, obey and proclaim Jesus as our Lord because of His resurrection. All Christianity’s testimony hinges on the resurrection of Christ. St. Paul writes:

And if Christ has not been raised, then empty (too) is our preaching; empty, too, your faith. (1 Corinthians 15:14)

Easter is important because the resurrection of Jesus separates Him from all other faith in the world. If Jesus has not resurrected, He will just be a great preacher like all others. It is only Jesus who can claim power over our greatest enemy: death.  Through His resurrection, His rising symbolizes also our rising  from death caused by our sins.
